This. I’ve been managing PCOS in college for about 2 years, but I regret going undiagnosed for so long and missing the chance to take care of myself with PCOS in mind.
Any tips from your experience on how to manage health conditions while working full-time & with travel?
been battling PCOS and hormone imbalance since 18 as well, which has led to a slew of issues with BV and other ph imbalances… this gave me SO much stress once i started working and almost became unmanageable. I will say that working from home has greatly helped me because I have the privacy to go about my routine and eat proper nutrients and supplements

I always thought I was a super healthy person until I started TTC. I had no idea I’d spend so much time sobbing over my uterus and having transvaginal ultrasounds. Wtf is this
Got it!
Endometriosis took over my mid 20s. I didn’t know it was endo until much later. But the weight gain was the hardest to deal with. It was then followed by infertility and more weight gain! Now in my mid 30s, along with the endometriosis, I have severe foot pain.
Just got diagnosed with PCOS and hormonal imbalance. It's been a wreck on my body and I am just learning to be patient with myself
I had pelvic inflammatory disease and it’s destroyed at least one of my Fallopian tubes. In the process of getting diagnostic testing. Send good vibes.

I had no sex drive and was exhausted throughout most of my 20s until I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s and was put on thyroid hormones. If someone has taught me about this earlier I sure as hell would gotten on medication right away and wouldn’t have spent so many years thinking I was just a tired chubby person who was never going to enjoy sex.
Just tell the doctor to add to your chart that you asked and they said no. They’ll do it
Why indeed? I'm reading Dr Jen Gunter's The Menopause Manifesto. Basically, patriarchy ....?

This is SO REAL! I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism shortly after college but it took me a year and 5 different doctors before someone (a woman, no surprise there) ran the correct tests and figured it out. I also was diagnosed with ADHD at 22 and feel like 5 years later I am still learning to understand how my ADHD affects my day to day life and work. Happy to share my journey with anyone who is struggling - just know you aren’t alone, it gets better, and our medical system (and most systems in the US) fails women constantly.
Thank you HRC1! Can I DM you?
For the first I feel seen… thank you ladies for sharing your stories. PCOS and trying to conceive is so heartbreaking. Without a period there’s no ovulation and when I finally got pregnant I miscarried. It’s been one hell of year. Then gaining weight with every missed period is a night mare😩😩

Also… I didn’t know I had PCOS. I was on birth control that masked it. I’m all for birth control but I had no idea how it messed with my hormones. I gained 15 lbs over 12 years. When I went off it, I lost it quickly. While it’s vanity, I hate seeing what it did to my body. I just had a baby and don’t want to go back to hormones.

Check out this website that just launched today! It has a ton of helpful resources to teach women about fertility awareness.
I’ve never been on hormonal birth control, and have been tracking my cycles for a few years using FEMM (check out the app). It’s a sympto-hormonal method of fertility awareness that can be used to track your health or to achieve/avoid pregnancy.
It’s definitely challenging and a bit overwhelming at times, but we can support one another! Hang in there, OP!
I wanna get checked for endo because I have all the symptoms but really scared to get myself checked. Will go soon
This is interesting... I don't know much about it but my SIL is having surgery this month for it. From what I understand it's exploratory and they may end up doing a hysterectomy depending on how bad it is.

Granted I don’t have health issues, but I learned so much about my body trying for and having kids that was so cool, but also disappointed that no one told me about these things and I had to find out on my own in my 30s
