No, my family is vaccinated.
its not parents who should be worried if they follow immunization recommendations its those 40 ish plus who like the earlier poster had the vaccine long ago and are no longer immune. u can get tested to check or just get re vaccinated to be sure
Herd immunity babeeee
I had a vaccine when I was a kid in the late 60s/early 70s. I recently got a titers and was shocked to learn I had zero percent immunity. Just got my second booster yesterday. Feel a lot better. Please don't bring measles to the office or on public transportation, etc. Get vaccinated if you're not sure. And, if you're sure you're unvaccinated, don't be an idiot and go get it done!
I got tested for immunity when I lived in London and was trying to get pregnant based on recommendation of the OB/GYN. It turned out that I didn’t have any immunity either even though I was vaccinated as a kid in the 70s. I got a booster shot so am fine now. They are finding a lot of us that were vaccinated back then need the boosters so it makes sense to get tested if there are outbreaks in your area.
Not worried for myself, but worried for my kiddo who’s still under 1 year old, and can’t get an mmr yet. Ugh, and I live in Oregon too...
Maybe they changed it in Oregon. In NY, babies older than 6 months can get it now

If you’re really worried get your titers checked and if they’ve worn off get the MMR vaccine again if you’re able to have a live vaccine
I actually had the measles and mumps at the same time in 1968. After, I had the MMR series but reading what EY1 said about having no immunity, I will get checked again.
If you had measles and mumps, they consider you immune. Now go get the shingles vaccine!!! That's next for those of us over 50.
Is there a reason we should be?
Guess you haven't heard of the outbreak in the US?
Shouldn’t the firm offer testing? I was thinking the other day, imagine if at ETU someone has the measles and they attended the plenary session. There goes our whole tax practice and I think it fair to say that at least half those folks are in the 40+ range.
Seriously, I don't. Would never have a flu shot anyway. But if firm offered, nope would not.
Not worries for myself. Worried for my daughter whose too young for the vaccine
