What are chances do we have for promotion if our milestone year is set up for 2023 from c to sc based on 7 years of experience.
Is it possible to get a promotion to senior level from staff level 2 and skip staff level 3 on getting a rating of 5 out of 5 in GDS? At the rating 5 can one expect to skip a level?
SE to ITA, previous band is A. , What will be expected hike. Any one recently got promotion ?
Hello guys, Can someone please share insights on how much salary increment we have after promotion from technical consultant to Senior technical consultant in Salesforce Salesforce .
Hi Ladies - looking for inspiration, does anyone have a great story about landing a raise or negotiating for their needs? I'm trying to get better at this and would love the support.
Vent: men need to keep my fertility choices out of their business. I was talking to a long time friend and mentor today, who encouraged me to focus on government work because “women like government, great hours and time off to raise their kids”. (I am a single 30yo women.) Did I tell you that is what my focus is? No. My ovaries are my business. Can’t tell you how many times I have had unsolicited comments like this: “isn’t your biological clock ticking?” “You should think about...” Stay TF out.
Firm just told us associates that we will not be getting any market raise because “we are a different type of firm” ... I think I’ll start looking elsewhere. 🤪
How much % raise they usually offer for the one getting promoted from 601 —> 602?
Also, how much % raise one can ask for?
Help! I wanted to know your thoughts about accepting a job and forgetting to negotiate salary and 3 months in asking for a raise. Should I just wait or should mention it? I do love my job but because I feel like I’m not getting paid my worth, I have been looking at other positions but do not really want to leave. Help!
I want to ask my managing attorney for a raise at the 6 month mark of working at this firm. I worked on a highly visible project and received a lot of praise from this attorney for “making their lives easier”. Weeks ago, he asked for my opinion on what compensation/benefits for this role should look like and when I told him that a paralegal should be making at least $70,000, he politely disagreed. I have 3 yoe/live in New York/PI lit./Masters Degree in BA/ make 61,500 annually. Suggestions?
Does anyone working in Barclays UK knows how much salary increase do we get for AVP to VP promotion? My base pay currently is £60k as an 10 years of experience AVP Barclays
Applying to roles within the same federal agency. I know you need one year within the probationary period, but can I apply to a higher GS level? For example, if I'm GS 9, receive a promotion to GS 11 at the end of probation, would i be able to apply to GS 13 roles if I'm qualified? Tried researching this for hours but only found info on applying to other agencies.
Does salary depend on your designation when making a switch ?
Also , does salary gets a huge bump on promotion yah fir sirf naam ka khel hai ?
Thoughts on going from a national firm to a smaller one with ~200 employees and $65M in revenue? I’m a first year tax manager and can get a 33% raise by going to this firm.
Hi all!!! Looking for advice here. I was promoted 5 months ago to a Jr. Recruiter. I currently make $75kCAD. Recently my company has been impacted by a layoff, and my workload almost doubled. P.S. I’m still getting paid the same and haven’t asked for compensation adjustment. I’ve always had a dream of earning a 6 figure salary and my goal atm is to hit the $100k mark. Keeping in mind that I work at a saas company, how should I negotiate a $25k salary increase if a promotion is brought up soon?
What are the best products/content/sites/etc. to raise your Verbal score? I’ve used Manhattan, Magoosh, and a variety of GMATClub articles; am currently at V32; and am targeting V40+ in <1 month 🤓.
So I’m very conflicted right now. I’ve been working for a small business for over a year and a half now with only me and the owner running the shop, but it’s mostly been me working until 7 most nights. The couple has been super nice, but with life events happening, I needed to pick up a second and third job. I eventually asked for a raise but was told no and that I would need to teach classes to do so. I have some job interviews lined up but I feel guilty doing it. Should I feel as bad as I do?
I’ve been practicing for 6 years in-house at a media company (was a startup when I joined and is now more established), straight out of law school. Due to the small nature of our team (3 legal members), I have been involved in all areas of our business and even advise c-suite frequently about legal risks. I received a promotion, with another title bump on the horizon this year. I have an opportunity to go to a start-up media company as the sole attorney. Anyone else have experience doing this?
Got a promotion. Leading a team now. Contractor from my previous team got assigned to come with me (I'll be hiring more). When I met with the contractor, he said he prefers the work my team is going to be doing, but doesn't prefer to work for me because his ego won't allow him to report to someone with less experience than him. What exactly am I supposed to do with that? Suggestions?

A recruiter recently messaged me about an Amazon Robotics contractor role. My ultimate goal is to become FTE at a FAANG one day—will being an Amazon contractor hurt or help my chances for that down the line? It’s for a Business Intelligence Engineer role, which is exactly the kind of role I’m targeting, fwiw.

So I haven’t had an official interview, but I forwarded my resume to the dept head for an internal job posting. A day later she asked my salary requirements I gave them to her and have heard nothing back. Do I follow up? Do I be patient? I haven’t had to interview for a job in 10 years so I’m rusty at what I should do next.

I got offer from CTS. But Hr is asking to provide form16 or pf statement for all my previous companies, else my background check will fail. Is it true?
I can provide these for my current company, but difficult to get for earlier ones, since it's been almost 10 yrs I have left them. I have written to hr of previous companies but no response yet.
I told CTS HR that I have experience letter, relieving letter, salary slips , bank statement, but she says it's not enough. Any thoughts pls?

From the consultant’s perspective, what are the biggest diffs between a firm like McK and Deloitte? Serious question, like in terms of what you learn and experience and your career trajectory

When handing your notice and leaving to a competitor, did people on senior ranks (principals/partners) have to immediately hand in company laptops, phones, etc? Were you released from your work with continuous pay until the end of the notice period or still doing meaningful work or at least handing over your initiatives/activities?

So here's a random one. I'm considering the Samsung Galaxy Flip 3 (not the larger Fold). Anybody already make that leap? If so, what do you think so far? I'm nervous about the battery life, which is reported to be quite limited.
Are you using and getting value from an investment advisor? I’m early 50s with $10M nw. Done it all myself so far mostly through mutual funds. I talked to a free advisor from Fidelity and they want me to talk to a third party (referred to by Fidelity but not Fidelity) that can give me access to “more sophisticated” products. Is it worth 1% to do this? For those that have done this, has it paid for itself? I feel like I’ve done well on my own and I’m hesitate to pay advisor fees.

Which firms, in your view, have leading positions in sustainability? Seeing a lot of marketing and positioning activity, not sure what truly happens at the clients’.
For tech partners:
The span of control, geo / sector spread, business size of a Tech Consulting Partner is much lesser as compared to a mid sized technology services company CEO. But the pay could be higher. How does it affect exit options of a partner? I'm starting to feel that one would get restricted to Big4 / ACN only (excluding FAANG for now). The possibility of CEO or a business head role seems to be out of question after first four years as a partner?

What does your retirement budget look like? Assuming no debt. What is your expected basic minimum expenditures (core life)? And what are you budgeting for fun and luxury? My basic is around 10k a month for taxes and food and transport and utilities. Luxury and fun is another ten. Big expense in basic is property tax. Big expenditure in fun is travel. I think my basic budget is too high and I could bring it down and be very happy in a smaller home and less restaurants.
