Bit of a silly question but does networking even help you get to the interview stage at MBB if you don't have a referral? ( trying to determine if a referral is the only end goal).
If it does- how? (Do folks share with the firm who reached out to them, etc?)

I have completed 1 year at TCS as a Asst System engineer . I have been assigned SAP project. That is not relevant to what I have studied in my curriculum. Have anyone done contracting negotiations before? I've interviewed for co A & B and co A extended an offer today. The offer does not meet my current salary. Co B's interview structure is 3 rounds and I've finished my 2nd round today. The recruiter mentioned that since I am a contractor my current salary is incomparable as they will provide benefits, etc. Is this true? I have 2 yrs of contracting HR exp from fortunate 500 co’s & OMW to get my SHRM-CP. Appreciate your advice in advance.

Hi folks, I recently applied for a new role in EMEA for a Specialist Solutions Architect. Got through n received an offer letter. But seems like the base is a bit lower than what i saw online in a couple of places (not sure of years of experience there though). Is it worth it to bring it up and ask the HM to raise an exception? How much time will this take? Is it a risk? Already the entire process has dragged on cause of delays on recruitment's part etc. Any advice or insight would be helpful!

I started here as a senior developer and promoted as a lead developer. I am in this particular project since the start of it . Recently they hired a reporting manager from a external company. However , he was given a business trip for a week to germany. I wasn’t asked for a business trip all these years.
i have worked in this project for 3 yrs creating new services spending additional hours apart from my project duties.

I interviewed for a job a month ago. A few weeks after the interview, I was told my feedback was good, but the company was evaluating all positions at the company at this time. Today, I saw the job is no longer posted, but my application is still "active" in the workday system. Anyone have any idea what this would mean? I don't want to continuously bother the recruiter.

Junior corp associate at a V50 firm in NY. Just received offer a few days ago in Charlotte, a city I really want to live. However, the role is for cap mkts /asset securitization and esoteric assets, e.g., auto loans, railroad, etc. I value having some work life balance. I heard the hours in asset securitization / esoteric assets can be awful. The work is very complex / niche. Does this sound about right?
