I’m working for a company that is mandating all sales people use their personal cell phone for business and they do not cover the costs. This seems and feels ethically wrong. Thoughts? Is this even legal?
I just had a baby a few months ago and I feel like our downstairs neighbors have been a little unfair in their requests to us. We live on the 3rd floor of a 4 story building and I emailed everyone to ask if I could tuck in our strolled behind our stairs in the entrance and the neighbors below us strongly opposed so we just carry the stroller up and down each time. Then they sent an angry email that our son was crying too loudly at night (he’s always been quiet but has been teething lately) cont.
In what type of project/assignment have you learned the most useful lesson for advancing your career? Currently feel that current consulting open roles are more secondment roles rather than great learning opportunities.

For those in corporate development, can you talk about the financial modeling aspect of the job? How detailed do you get? Full three-statement or something much simpler? 50 tabs or less? It would be helpful if you could say what size company and whether it’s public or private. Thanks!
Other than upsell, cross sell and geo expansion, pricing, are all the other revenue synergies completely imaginary? I've seen CDD reports and folks on my teams try to get creative with R&D, product, CX, type synergies. These are either difficult to implement, or the cost to achieve is so high it basically becomes a dis-synergy through margin contraction. Are we getting too creative with these non-traditional revenue synergy ideas? Have any of you seen the creative ones quantifiably work?

From what people above me have said (take it with a grain of salt) - M&A is typically ok during recessions. There’s always some sort of deal activity, whether it’s divesting business units or buying remains of firms that have gone under, etc etc
Agree with the two of you.
