Also, What should a nurse with 7 years of experience be making per hr? Should be feel bad about possibly leaving my company? I’m about 2 years through a 3 year analyst contract and I’ve been interviewing at a different firm.

I like my current company and the people a lot, but the location isn’t ideal for me and comp is significantly below market. The guilt caused by the thought of leaving is killing me.

Thoughts on CAIA? Difficulty, hours studied, study tips, overall experiences, etc.? I’ll be sitting for Level 1 in September. Currently work in the fund of funds space - moving over to my firm’s hedge fund research team soon so CAIA seemed like a perfect way to get knowledge in the area beforehand. I’m almost one year out of undergrad (econ background) so a lot of the CAIA content is new to me

In my 1 year in corporate this is what I have understood.
1. Choose your friends wisely.
2. Focus on skill development.
3. Gossip and office politics are more or less common thing in corporate. We may not avoid it but limit ourselves as much as possible.
4. expect unexpected things.
5. No one really cares for you, so you have to set
your own priority and take decision accordingly.
6. You will understand whether your colleague is actually your friend or not only when you will be on np 😀.

Is there a reason why we always focus on earned income tax rates as a means for generating tax revenue? Seems like instituting a minimum effective tax rate on corporate earnings or taxing capital gains as ordinary income would yield more tax revenue while providing the majority of Americans (and people on this app) with more after-tax income and the freedom to choose how to use it (spend, save, invest, etc.).

I am expecting an offer but I have a feeling they will ask for my existing & then offer accordingly . I have 9.5 years of exp. but my existing is low as my existing comp. Is from a tier 2 city.
