Got reached out to by a recruiter on LinkedIn, and set up a call to talk about the position. We talked on Tuesday and the call seemed to go very well. She said she would follow up by sending me the job posting to look at more in depth and confirm with the hiring manager that my salary requirements fit the position. I followed up thanking her for her time and expressing my excitement about the opportunity but still haven’t heard anything from her after our call. Do I follow up again?

Recently promoted from Analyst to Consultant at a boutique HC firm in Chicago. Review was great, ranked as a top performer. Salary only moved from 71k to 79k (11% bump). Negotiate or jump ship?

Recruiter reached out saying I will be receiving an offer and wanted to get my comp expectation. I gave a reasonable expectation based on level of the role. Recruiter said that’s too high. I politely mentioned that I’m happy to work with what the comp team gets back with as I really like the role. They said they will submit my paperwork by end of the day. That was Tuesday. Haven’t heard back since. Does it take this long or they slotted someone else for the role during this timeframe?

Articling student in Canada (8 month internship with potential hireback), currently doing transactional work. I’m WFH and having a hard time building relationships with partners. I’m friendly/chat with associates and am on great terms with one partner who gives me work often, but not much else. The firm “encourages” reaching out to partners to chat, though I’ve tried and been essentially ignored. Partners rarely have enough time to give me feedback, so I feel they don’t have time to chat.

My toxic trait is that as soon as work starts getting to stressful I start interviewing elsewhere, no matter how short of time I’ve been there.

I recently moved out of my apartment complex 2 weeks ago and ended my lease early because I had to move for work. The leasing office calls me today and said they “forgot” to bill me for a $1200 rent concession I received when I first moved in (First Month free rent promotion). After looking the lease, I found the clause but I really don’t want to pay especially when they made the mistake on not billing me and are just now following up 2 weeks later. Advice? Ideas?
