Any pro tips for good impressions in the first weeks of new job? Starting a new role as an experienced hire soon and keen to come in strong. I’m thinking of the little things such as having a good “background story” when people ask you to intro yourself etc.

Explaining with a strong rationale, the specific reason why you wanted to join your current firm is the most powerful way to make a good impression. Avoid saying nonsense such as “I wanted a new challenge / got bored of what I was doing”.

Hi Folks
I have been offered a position of Senior Developer- Senior Associate 1 in PwC AC Bangalore with 19LPA fixed.
I would like to understand what this role is. I am currently a Consultant in EY with 5.8 YoE. Am I being lowballed by PwC? Or is this fair?
Also HR said that I can work from Anywhere so it means I need not relocate. Is this true?
Any clarity would be appreciated!

I have worked in municipal government for almost 17 years. I love what I do as an Inspector, but the environment is toxic, and administration horrible. I have an opportunity to go into the private sector side, as well a second interview for another municipality doing same job. Private sector job will pay 35,000 more but will be 3 hrs away my husband is in law enforcement and can’t leave due to his position. Concerns are: private sector and when recession hits, it’s construction, away from hubby

I had given Accenture interview on 5th March and on the same day got an email that I cleared the round then salary discussion also happened. But then they didn't release the offer. In the portal status went to " owing to business reasons we foresee some delay in processing your candidature". Also then after multiple followups got an update from HR that they don't have any requirements for the position. Now it's been more than a month what should I do ? Any suggestions would definitely help.
