Hey guys! I wanted to share #HoldThePRess which is an initiative, inspired by #PullUpForChange and 600 and Rising, holding the PR industry accountable for recruiting and cultivating Black talent at all levels. The website with more info and to sign on in support is holdthe-press.com and you can sign whether you are Black or an ally. Also, we are planning on presenting the asks and demands to agencies in the coming weeks and will be sharing via the website and on IG: @holdthe_press.

I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.
I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.
Any advice or similar experience?

Today
Started my day with the product owner. We reviewed the future sprint plan’s priorities to see what we needed to push back. A meeting yesterday made it clear. We had too many stories in the sprint. We have a regular meeting 1-on-1 every week to discuss anything. Today’s meeting just focused on the next sprint.
Then worked asynchronously… off and on a presentation with other people. This was probably 1.5 hours of my day. We were using the deck during an afternoon meeting with our user advisory group. We had a Slack channel to discuss slides. Multiple people did quick (unscheduled) zoom meetings to walk through the deck’s story telling. I attended one of these meetings.
Data analytics on data that the product collects…mostly pivot tables.. trying to test a theory... look at segmented data.
Facilitated daily “stand up” meeting.
Note: In this particular job I am the scrum master. In other jobs, someone from engineering was the scrum master. And sometimes there is an associate product manager or project manager who does this work.
Immediately following the standup we hold “office hours” meeting. This is 15-minute meeting where everyone attends. Anyone can discuss anything.
Worked on an EPIC and some stories in Jira. Mocked up potential design. Team has UX designer who does wireframes. I am working on a story that is earlier in refinement. I use images to communicate and help with discussions.
Checked my email. I was tagged on a Jira with a question.
Participated in user advisory meeting. It was very lively.

Email exchange with everyone who presented at the user advisory group. I took ownership of logging most new stories that came from the meeting. Product owner is going to work on a few.
I like my job. I get to work on “top > down” planning. If my team/product was larger I would be less involved in day-to-day execution.
My days are always different.
Salary ranges vary so much..
There are a bunch of different places to look. I always look at all the websites that seem reasonable. The truth is somewhere in the middle. Websites that I have used in the past.
