Also curious as to how people made the transition from consulting to product management

I’m a product manager within LS that was previously a LS consultant. There are plenty of PMs in LS; people who say otherwise aren’t actually in industry/don’t really know what they’re talking about. I love my role because it is strategic in nature and falls under global marketing, which controls the long term strategy of the business. Feel free to PM or ask any questions.

Hi SPM1, I have been working in healthcare and life science analytics domain for about 7 years. I hold an offer with consulting (established) and product based (startup) firm, both at a consultant level. The compensation between both firms aren't with huge difference. I have primarily been around working towards solution (patient Journey, LOT, Market assessement) and analytics technique (LogReg, survival, gamma regr), so I am able to fit in between both sides. What are the factor one should consider while trying to choose between two options ( product vs consulting)

You might want to post this in the “exit opportunities” bowl. You’ll probably get more responses!

If you’re referring to life sciences (as this bowl is LS), “product manager” is not a common title or even role. More of a tech thing. May get more responses if you clarify/use industry-specific language (if indeed LS).

I think they’re considered a more Marketing function within LS

Was approached for an affiliate marketing position from one of my dream companies. My background is in paid acquisition so I think there’s some cross over. However I’d like to understand how one could successfully scale affiliate campaigns and work with affiliate partners. Will anyone be open to have a conversation with me about this? I tried searching online/YouTube but most content are relevant to affiliate marketers who are also content creators. Any insights would be great!

I need help: In consulting interviews, is it a death sentence to have been part of the COVID-related layoffs at a Big 4 strategy arm? I’m getting beaten down here. I have 10 years consulting experience, 7 at health plans, 5 in strategy, and 3 as a manager. I know my industry, function, and story. What am I missing?
