Had a recruiter reach out to me on LinkedIn about a Business Development role with GrowthPlug (tech sales). Meeting tomorrow for an informational interview. I’ve never done this before so does anyone have any advice for how to prepare and what sort of questions to ask/expect to be asked? Any tips are welcome. Thanks!

I’ve been in the industry for 23+ years, 16+ of those spent as a Producing Branch Manager. I hold S7, S63, S66, S24 and I’ve completed the education for the CFP (need to pass the exam). I excel in relationship building and providing exceptional service. I’ve only been on the full-service side for the past 2 years and my book of managed money is about $10M, with another $10M+ being self-directed by clients. I’d love to find an RIA job, what type of role would be suggested?

Currently making ~$300K TC in a strategy role. Was just offered a different role (account manager) in the same company with a slight increase in base salary and a 50% TC increase if I hit sales target (even base case would be ~30% increase in TC).

Have never really considered account management / anything with a sales target, but I like money.

Thoughts? Things I should consider?

Seeking advice on what to do career wise.

I’m still in my first year at Deloitte as a campus-hire. Feeling like this position isn’t for me, not fully enjoying what I’m doing, don’t feel like my coworkers value my work/me (I only work with men), and feeling like I am not getting adequate opportunities to grow my knowledge/experience in the work I do and also cross-department opportunities.

Should I wait it out and see? How do I get connected to try different things at the company?

Anyone work at PwC that can help refer and potentially share some resume/application tips? There's a strategy manager position open I am interested in applying for, but I've applied for PwC many times over the years and have NEVER gotten even a first round interview. I typically have at least a decent amount of success with my resume and I have applied for a multitude of levels and positions. I've been in FinTech CS for about 6 years.

Considering an offer from Freddie Mac but they have an additional check for anyone who previously worked at @PWC. Anyone go through the additional check? Can they deny employment? The check is to ensure I or anyone they’re hiring doesn’t have internal knowledge on Freddie’s financials.

People who work in banking, and especially in France, have you ever been badly treated by your colleagues with an attitude as if you’re not even worth a piece of sh** ?

I don’t know if it’s because people in the banks are like this or if it’s because french people are rude. But the way my colleagues behave (fortunately, just some of them, not all) would be considered extremely impolite and uneducated in Asia (where I’m from). Would love to hear some of your opinions about this!
