You’re an SC. If it’s a mistake, you have plenty of time to recover.

I understand, and seems like there are some definite benefits to the switch. I was just curious if you put a lot of thought on the non financial factors this new role would bring. That being said, I could always attempt to boomerang back if you don’t like the type of work the new role brings.

Just check whats ur pay growth in current company vs the industry. Also whats the 401k match in both, similarly bonus %, etc. a lot of stuff is tied to base pay, so higher the base better it is, but u compare all stuff current vs new firm
Lastly location matters. High cost loc vs low cost

Just make sure you’re not screwing your self with only getting a 50% raise.
I left for FAANG for a 50% raise but my colleagues joined 2 months later for a 100% raise.
