How are others handling moving office home when you are in your late 60s? I am re-Vising my practice from trial practice to probate and estate planning with some PI. For those of you who also are changing their practice, how dealing with the expense of practice stuff you bought but no one wants anymore? My binders were dropped off at eight at an elementary school.

Just started my own business and I am in the process of setting up my accounting system. Can anyone recommend the best accounting system to use? So far top choices are quickbooks online or freshbooks online, leaning towards QB but it’s so expensive. Not looking to spend an arm and a leg. It’s a service only biz with no products and no payroll. I will need to pay bills so I need expense tracking etc. Thanks in advance!

I started a new job a month ago and I think I've made a huge mistake. I wanted work life balance, went to a well-known company that has a reputation for it, and have quickly learned that this will be quite the opposite. I am beginning to panic. How do I deal with applying for jobs, specifically the issue of "erasing" this job from my work history without getting in trouble? I feel weird stating that my last job is my "present" one but is there any other option?
Was forced out of a firm after more than a decade last year. Started my own law firm. Today I got a new client who called my old firm and fired one of my ex colleagues to come with me and told them they were coming to my firm. The colleague and I were close, but this is business and I don’t feel bad. Although I have been acquiring unhappy clients of my old firm for a while now, this was the first who was on a current retainer with the former firm. Life is much better on my own. :)

Thoughts about working for uber. Role is called senior manager but only require 3 yoe - role seems to have minimal requirements too and sounds like a fit for ex consultants? What do you think about working for uber itself and a role that's senior manager only requiring 3 yoe. I have 5 yoe btw, currently doing digital transformation work.
Do you guys sometimes think you’re not living life right? Like you’re some type of robot. I think the 40 hour work week + PTO constraints is a bit much.
