Landlord just told me to stop complaining and bothering her. How do I respond? There’s an ungodly amount of noise coming from the pipes and radiator making it impossible to sleep and the super doesn’t care. Landlord keeps telling me it’s normal but I measured the noise and it’s over 100 db, I can’t even sleep with earplugs in. Neighbors say they’ve complained too but nothing is being done.

Moving to NY in a month and of course finding it hard to find things in my price range (mostly due to the insane brokers fees). I don’t know anything about NOMAD but my broker just found something off market in my price range and the building would pay the brokers fee. It is a “luxury building” and the amenities do look really really nice especially the gym and rooftop. Any thoughts for a late 20s single girl living in that area? My friend told me there are a lot of homeless ppl in the area.

Has anyone successfully negotiated a flexible lease break clause into their rent stabilized lease? Rent stabilized units wont lower rent and aren’t allowed to do month to month. I’d like to resign but only if I have a way out mid way if needed (e.g. give them 30 days notice).

Option 2:
Studio: 450 sq feet, $1995 includes Washer/dryer, gym and amenities $75 extra
Get to live by myself, more modern building built in 2000s
