I don’t have any tech background; I do however have some history/knowledge/ minimal experience on building a website for the employees at a previous company. Currently going to school for my cannabis certification but I rarely see any jobs that offer cannabis research. I currently work in a lab/greenhouse environment and would love to continue that line of work with hemp/cannabis. Yet again no luck whatsoever, just finding jobs as budtenders or running a dispensary. Does anyone know where I can find research-based cannabis jobs? I have worked in the Instrumentation & Controls field for many years. Although the money is good I wanted to transition into something a bit more technical. Thoughts of a black person in public accounting: my management is lacking in diversity which is contributing to me considering positioning myself elsewhere. However, if I position myself elsewhere than I am removing the chance of a minority being promoted into management (myself). I have to do what’s best for me, so I am going to take that new job. Cycle continues with next black/minority team member.
