Vent: I am tired of reading articles about how to deal with micromanagers and toxic bosses. Why does firm leadership put the onus on underlings to “manage up” instead of leadership actually providing leadership and accountability on problematic personalities? Partners, senior associates - why do you phrase things as “what about this? Why havent we done this?” Isnt it obviously bc nobody thought about it? Why not just direct and guide your team to do something as opposed to ask that awkward question and make the team scramble to pretend like it’s in process
