Any recommendations for industries and roles where you are required to travel for periods of time across USA or internationally? For example, I worked at a trade show company (before CoVID event industry layoffs) and loved the balance of office & show travel. I have a bachelors in marketing but have mostly field sales/sponsorship/event coordination experience as well as wine/spirits industry experience (3yrs). Google search results “travel blog” or teach English are not helpful. Thank you :)

Speaking personally, I do know that some event companies are hiring right now. I went to two conferences recently. You might want to check and see if you could work for another industry conference circuit. Like if you worked for one that mainly did consumer goods, check healthcare conference hosts.

HR, specifically, university recruiters, get a good amount of travel, but also downtime.

Thoughts on joining a boutique consulting firm during this economy? Is it typically viewed as safer or riskier than bigger firms? Sorry if this is a dumb question. I know many of the bigger firms had layoffs but I imagine they have much more in the pipeline/budget/resources whereas boutique firms may or may not have had layoffs (is there a reputable source about this online?) but have fewer of the other items.
