I would ask at your firm. I'm sure there are plenty of people with divorce lawyers recommendations there.

Right I have seen the email blast too. I remember thinking..."oh wow...ok." I suppose asking around privately would be fine.

So my AP environmental science students take their AP test next Thursday, and I have 63 students taking it. I decided I want them to have dinner / a senior gift. I decided to ask for donations for $500 and in less than 3 hours I exceeded $400, most donations from past students. My point, you are making a difference if you feel you aren’t, I was reminded of that today.

I’m 2 weeks into an account strategy associate job at Google. I’m realizing I don’t want to be in this job long term but everything but the role is great. I turned down an offer to do product strategy manager at a telecom company with less pay/not as great culture but the recruiter said it’s still an option if I’m interested. Role is what I want to do. Should I jump? I’m just scared I’ll be stuck in account management forever but everything about G is great sans role. Also terrified of blacklist

Mid-level M&A associate over here. Thinking I’d like to make the move out of big law but struggling with what my options are. Accepted an offer of employment with a mid-sized firm to begin in a couple of months. I’ve always wanted to shoot for big law but haven’t had the opportunity thus far. Overall, I accepted because I didn’t want to take the opportunity for granted in addition to the uncertainty with hiring due to covid. Would it be an issue to shoot for a big law opportunity in the interim? I know how this looks and sounds, so I definitely don’t want to set a precedent that I deal in bad faith.
