I'm a first yr attorney at an insurance firm and am in the process of interviewing for an in-house position at a tech company. The position is pretty much generalist, but I get the impression I'd be working mostly on SaaS and partnership transactions. I definitely think I would like the transactional work better, but I am concerned about the long-term earning potential vs. partnership. How common is it to eventually make $400k+ in-house/how difficult is it to transition back to a firm? Thanks!

Curious of non clinical salary in the dental field. I work in not quite ‘high end’ dental as insurance specialist. I am also front desk manager (tho not office manager). I was hired to do insurance and in the 2 months since I started I have been given a dozen more responsibilities. Insurance verification, front desk, answering phones, taking payments, training, all IT work (which I’m not even good at but I’m the only person under 50 in the office so it falls on me)

Spent a long time working for a reputable insurance defense firm before switching to plaintiff PI. Recently let go from plaintiff PI firm due to pandemic financial cutbacks. I'm in the offer stage for a job at Google. I live in Colorado, but will be working remotely. However, they are basing the salary on a Colorado location, which is actually lower than most of their other regions. Should I ask them to provide the minimum salary range for the role as per sb19-085 (8-5-20)?

Does anyone feel they interview poorly because of their nerves, even if you prepare prior to the interview and find good examples of your skills and experience to match the role requirements? My nerves always get the best of me and I tend to ramble when I’m nervous. I had a phone interview with the hiring manager and members of the team that the role would be working with and I feel like I shot myself in the foot a few times. Does anyone have any tips to get past their nerves in the interview?

Need some advice re: vacation time. Big law first year in restructuring. Just found out our first years won’t be starting until at least Jan. 2021. I’ve been pretty busy this month - will likely bill close to 300, so I really need a vacation. The other juniors (they’re not first years) in my group have taken four day weekends, but I’d really like to take a week off next month. I also haven’t take a vacation since I started last September. Should I follow the other juniors, or just take the week?

I am an office coordinator at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and want to break into the field of research. MSK has research coordinator roles, however when I initially applied after graduating, I didn’t get any interviews. I have minimal experience with research from undergrad.
