Said the same thing! They are phenomenal compared to American gummy candies

Anything from Fortnum&Mason

like

Things that are traditional (but a slightly ‘fancy’ version in nice packaging from a classic brand) - e.g. fortnum and mason tea, harrod’s shortbread or biscuit tins, selfridges / JL home decor etc. Also if you are looking for a low key novelty item and / or sweets…Percy pigs 🐽

Do they know the classic British brands like Selfridges, F&M, Harrods?

If they do, the ‘own brand’ gifts/items from these stores have always gone down well with my family back home. You can find things that are unique and not too expensive

like

Also if they drink, then any local small batch gin from duty free

like

Alcohol from a small craft distiller (not duty free!) - there are some great Cornish rums for example, and loads of gins. Nyetimber wine (produced in Kent and won oodles of awards).

Wooden egg and dippers tray - not sure if that is a thing in the US?

Cheese? Really mature stuff with some local chutney?

Or pickled onion monster munch, make your own hamper from cadburys?

Something to do with football/ rugby or cricket?

HRs in this bowl, how do you tackle the situation when lateral recruits who received offer letter gives dhoka in the last moment saying I have better offers and unable to join

What's the impact on project Team who're eagerly waiting for a resource to join their team and get upto speed with the project...
Assuming only one position is open..
If you say that you would have released offers to 2 or more resources so that there's no dependency in worst case where new recruit turns down the offer.

I have an offer to join a Tier 2 consulting firm next year (entry level). However, it seems like they have over-hired and they are now pushing the start date back by a few months. This is not great in itself, as I handed in my notice to my current employer last week, but I was wondering if I should be concerned about further pushbacks or even them withdrawing the offer. Is this something that happens, or will it just be a delay as they say?

Hi everyone,
I Received a first offer from Deloitte 2 weeks ago that I countered and they accepted to raise it.
The recruiter in charge of my case was on holidays and he came back to work last week.
Sent him two emails asking when I should expect the new set of documents, but no reply until today.
Is this normal? Does a new offer necessarily have to go through the same steps as the first one ? Because I waited 10 days between the verbal offer and the written one for the first time.
Thanks!
