I’ve only found ones that allow you to block access to selected apps but it also allows you to end the blocking period whenever you’d like (thus not really helping my ADHD impulses). But this is not sufficient  for a 5 year experience Data Engineer. So i resigned on 12 th june 2022. My current CTC is 9 lpa and i asked them 15lpa for retain. Everything is fine from my Capgemini manager and client manager. Only i am expecting HR Call and that will happen next week as my manager said. Any suggestion what will be next CTC ? Thanks All

One of my friends only talks about their SO in conversations. She's done this since they started dating three years ago. My team at work is awesome and I only work 40 hours per week! The work is a little boring though and to be honest, we don’t have much to do. I feel my professional development trajectory slowed down when I took this job 10 months ago. The pay is ok. Not great. Not bad. I have about 4 years work experience.

A) I should stay and focus on the positives (I have a lot of free time).

B) apply to a new job and back on the hustle (I could probably get a promotion too this way).

C) something else.

So I have a friend who likes to say “you don’t get your dream job, you make it” in response to my dissatisfaction with my job. I think i understand her intent but it never sat well with me. Today it finally hit me that, while it’s meant to be motivational in a “you are responsible for your own happiness” kind of way, it’s a little gaslighty as if positive thinking alone can change a toxic culture. Flew for the first time today. Woman next to me took her mask off immediately upon sitting down and starting chatting loudly with her son. I asked her politely if she could keep her mask on and she proceeded to spend the rest of the flight fake sneezing and laughing giving me the side eye to see my reaction. My professional life at the moment is far from ideal. I’ve been on quarantine (long story, but a good one) for the last seven years. Royalties from my books don’t pay the bills. My entrepreneurial pursuits remain hampered. For the interim, I’ve been looking for a remote opportunity where I can leverage my skills in marketing, sales, social media, and elsewhere for a decent sum. I have a social media presence which, in recent years, reached millions. There has to be something exciting I can do.
