There's no way you have zero network. Check linkedin and speak with alumni career services. You can make a network!
I was similar to you, I went to law school in New England and moved down south. I would start applying to jobs even though they might not consider you their ideal candidate. The worst thing they will say is no! I found my current job through a recruiter I connected with from a different job positing.
If you’ve passed the bar, look into doc review to help pay the bills until the economy comes back
Struggling with the same thing but in an area with no jobs so I’m trying to find remote WFM that’s entry level. I’ve been looking for remote doc review for about a year now but not getting any bites. Not in CA though or anywhere with a desirable license. Network has fallen through so trying to make more new connections but I feel trapped at the bottom of the long term unemployment well.
Cold email people at firms and ask for informational interviews. Those help you understand their work and if you impress them, they might help you find opportunities or connect with others. Ask them for networking suggestions too and don’t forget how much lawyers loooove to talk about their experiences.
