If anybody’s following my earnings plays, my next move after CHGG and GLUU is going to be PANW. Earnings on 5/21 and I’m looking for around a 7% bounce given their business should have been unimpaired by Covid and likely saw a ramp up given the rapid WFH deployment of a lot of companies. When looking over other metrics it’s a company that I’m pretty positive about moving forward. I’m buying outright but I believe 5/29 calls @ $217.5 are also attractive.

Non Big Law Salary Question. Los Angeles market. What is a reasonable to good salary for a business litigation associate. 1600 billable hour requirement. Does 115k seem reasonable? There seems to be a wide range of salaries when you step back from Big Law and firms’ compensation a closely guarded secret. What are junior non Big Law litigators being paid?

Partner is exchanging messages with opposing counsel. They agree on a meeting time. Within 3 minutes of that meeting time, I send the invite. I see that within that 3 minute time period I have an email from the Partner with an exasperated tone instructing me to send an invite. Argh

Has anyone ever gone from partnership track to non-partnership track? I'm currently on partnership track, but have been thinking of going to non-partnership track. My firm offers this option. We used local counsel for something and an associate there apparently spent five hours looking at something that I ended up having to look at myself because he couldn't answer the question. And it took me like thirty mins. Was a super simple question with a very simple answer. (Think like a time limit within which to file, and the answer is in a rule.) I'm suspicious of their bill... It was like right before the end of the year, and we didn't even do much until after January 1 on the project.

Anyone have any affordable case management software recommendations? I’m looking for something a bit non-traditional as I work for a small nonprofit.
