I read this not too long ago. Hope this helps https://www.accountingseed.com/2021/02/04/5-critical-salesforce-strategies-to-implement-in-2021/

I would just do a quick google search. They push out articles all the time talking about how they operate. I don't know about books though.

Thanks, but I don’t mean Salesforce, I meant managing a sales force, e.g compensation strategy, how to think about different coverage models, etc but from a more academic POV.

There is an increasing amount of research based on rigorously testing strategies within actual companies. I’m curious to learn more, since a lot of “piloting” and plans within orgs/via consulting is less rigorous and so harder to draw conclusions from.

Making good traction, but then you're contacted by a company in a niche that FASCINATES you...like you read books about this subject for fun, you'd probably love this job. It's remote, the salary is good, the manager is nice, but you'd be the most senior marketing person; the company is about 200 people. What would you do?

I would appreciate advice from anyone who transitioned from another industry into sales. How did you break the barrier?

Do I hope that people know what really happened? My senior strat does at least. Hopefully his boss.
