Decide to Start this bowl after seeing 1000 post asking about ergonomic chairs. The reason your back hurts is your sitting to much.

Do any of you use either a Uplift V2 or VARI standing desk? I need a new desk and was considering one of these. I’m thinking either the Whiteboard Desk from Uplift or the Reclaimed “Wood” from VARI. Anyone with experience w/ either company and their products?

I’m starting as a Junior at a new firm and, in addition to the home office set up they provide, they also give a $500 IT stipend. Does this typically cover desks? And do stipends typically get disbursed as a $500 check or they reimburse specific purchases? And if it’s the latter, would they cover purchases made before the start date?

I’ve already asked HR a lot of questions and I don’t want to keep pestering them to avoid a rep for being that annoying associate before I even start lol. Thx!

Got an offer to join a startup. The offer is 15k more than the job description’s top range. Health, dental, vision and disability, along with home office reimbursement and some stock options are included. Pretty happy with the overall package as is but are they expecting me to negotiate and ask for more?

As Europe opens up, they will likely be restricting travelers from the US. So pissed at all the people not following social distancing and mask wearing guideline that’s preventing me from visiting friends and family overseas.

I’ve been at my job 3 years which is relatively short compared to others on my team. I feel like I have to work twice as hard to achieve near or equal level of recognition. Within S1 I was ranked as “average” when I’ve had greater responsibilities and successfully managed more complex projects. When I asked my boss what I needed to do to be above average he told me to keep going as I am. How does that make sense? If I don’t need to change anything, why am I only “average” now? Any advice please?
