Hello all! I have scaled my way from being a medical assistant, to clinical supervisor, to my newest role as a patient service manager or 2 depts. In the next 18 - 24 months I would like to make the move to a director title within a health tech company. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to transfer from clinic to health tech?

At this moment, I am almost depressed. I am in a relationship with this guy for 2 years now. In the past 2 years, we have fought more than we have lived days with peace. We both have high ego problems because of which it’s really hard to resolve a conflict. Things have recently escalated to calling names/swearing and even physically abuse from both sides. Any woman here who suffers from either PMDD or bipolar disorder? How did your doctors know the difference? I experience severe depression the week before my period and am very easy to set off/lose myself. Like full on hating myself, over sensitivity, and wishing to unalive. Then during my period plus after I return to “manic” happiness and productivity. Both my mother and grandmother were diagnosed as bipolar yet also had menstrual problems and I’m beginning to think they were misdiagnosed.

I am at a DoD focused startup that is drafting their military leave policy.

Our PTO is Flexible Leave = they don’t track days worked in return for days off

The draft military leave policy:
- 2 weeks of annual AT can be flex leave
- 2 days allocated a year for PT test

I previously worked at Deloitte and loved their military leave policy, so I am pushing for 2 weeks of AT allowed and 80 hours a year for travel to drill/medical appts/misc days you have to meet active counterparts.

Thoughts?
