Yep I did, took me almost a year to recover.

I’d rest until it doesn’t hurt when you on long walks, look into deep foot massages and custom shoe insoles. I didn’t rest when I first hurt myself and kept running🤦‍♂️. But regular deep foot massages and shoe insoles helped me recover. I hurt both my feet 🤦‍♂️, first the right one and then the left one.

Yes (although not a runner anymore due to my injuries). What do you want to know? I have/have had severe tendonitis in all major tendons so I like to pretend that makes me an expert lol

Yeah definitely building up muscles around the tendons helps a ton to take the stress off them. I believe eccentric loading is better than concentric for tendons. I've found physical therapy, massage and infrared laser therapy to be helpful. Also, Brooks Running shoes, good orthotics, applying heat, and taking a magnesium supplement. I had an orthopedic surgeon recommend nitroglycerin patches as well but they gave me terrible headaches personally.

For my pateller tendon, I also found building up hip strength to be very important.

Have you tried out different running shoes? I’d also recommend asking someone to film you while running to see where your form can improve. My issues went away when I changed these things.

Actually just switched up my shoes! Also have custom orthotics from my orthopedic surgeon from some previous back injuries

Does anyone go to a clinic several hours from their home? I did IVF in early 2020 that resulted in a successful fresh transfer. I have 7 embryos frozen at my fertility clinic, but we moved about 6 hours away. We are starting to talk about being ready to move forward with FET, but I don’t know if I should try to find a clinic to move the embryos to me or plan to travel so we don’t have to move the embryos.

Hi friends here… how long would you wait between FET cycles? I had a miscarriage (a few weeks only) in May from the FET, and my doctor said I could start a new FET cycle now that I have my period. I’ve been on Thyroid meds but they don’t monitor my TSH (unless I ask it to be checked). The doctor says no need to wait unless I want a mental break. I don’t need a mental break but wonder if I’m rushing when my body is not ready. Just confused… thanks all!

Not sure if this is the right bowl but I am slightly concerned that a friend has started taking steroids over quarantine. He has always had a strict bodybuilding routine and diet. Started lifting 7 years ago and suddenly gained 20lbs of muscle and got super cut in ~4mo even with gyms closed in LA. Also needs viagra on a regular basis now. PSA: if you are on a weight loss journey, TAKE PROGRESS PICS. My scale has been jumping around +/- 5lbs for the past month. Took a progress picture last night and compared it to my picture a month ago. It is clear major changes took place which gives me the next boost of motivation I needed to keep going. Also, for context, I’m now around 130lbs at 5’5 so my weight loss has slowed down and even a few lbs will be noticeable!

How to you stay “competitive” physically? I’m 30 and a male. I used to play in sports leagues but after picking up a few injuries the past couple of years and having our first baby I stepped back from it but I miss athletic competitions. Are there any apps where it’s like “run this route the fastest to top the leaderboard” or doing like a weight loss challenge kind of thing?

Down 8lbs from my peak weight and plan on keeping it up with at least that much more. Main goal is to get my body fat in the 10-15% range down from 25%. Feels good to see some progress.

Need suggestions for how to make cauliflower rice not taste like cauliflower. I love rice, eat it almost once week (significantly cut down from eating it almost every day as a child through college 😅) so switching to cauliflower rice is a challenge since texture and taste wise, I just KNOW it’s not rice. Usually eat it with seasoned chicken and veggies. I like regular cauliflower but for some reason, riced cauliflower has a stronger cauliflower taste for me?
