*Back story - 8yrs of sales experience, 5yrs as a SaaS Sr AE. Have always been a top performer. Current company am consistently the #1. Just started interviewing to advance my career, both pay and growth-wise. I see some that are 6fig base but seems they're either for start-ups or highly sought-after companies you basically need an internal referral. Thx!

How should I approach negotiation?

On a new team, internal move. Have about 10 YOE but looks like this will be the first year I end nowhere near annual goal. A few things outside of my control as I'm coming into the territory and things falling through. Role is heavy on renewals/farming but also some hunting.
