Any senior associates or of counsel out here that regularly bill 1700-1800 hours and survive without getting pushed out? Or am I the only one?

Yes. Regularly bill 1800 and planning on cruising to counsel. May go in house eventually, but in no rush to leave.

My plan exactly. All the noise about needing 2400/year stresses me out, but I try to block it out.

Im banking on it this year. Have never previously billed below 2,000, even in 2020.

Tips for billing properly? I feel like I'm constantly working yet not billing enough of it. I know you never bill 100% of the time worked, but I don't think I'm doing it right (I'm a first year). E.g. I find it difficult to switch timers each time I respond to an email so I tend to forget.
