My husband does not have a degree but immense sales experience. He has been in sales in the food and beverage industry for about 10 years now and wants to get into tech. I am in tech and have a degree so unsure if he needs a degree to get a sales role? So many places are quick to turn away great candidates because of schooling even if their experience surely qualifies them. I've risen in my org to a Sr. Director level running a virtual BU, but seem to have maxed out my title and responsibility despite a history of exceptional results & solid relationships. A mentor ~3 years back was pushing me for VP, but left for a CRO role and since have been stagnant despite doing my best work. What should I do if I find out someone gets paid more than me? We work at the same company as contingent workers. We are both on a 6 month contract through two different contracting firms.
