MBB interview tomorrow. What are your tips for building rapport through video interviews? Got dinged at another MBB a month ago and felt that the reason is that it is hard to truly connect with the interviewers (both were browsing email / doing work at some point)

What is the typical salary for a contracts administrator? Should I ask for more if it’s contract?
I told them I want $80K and they moved me on to interviews?

Here is my issue. I left my firm this summer for an opportunity I should have known was to good to be true. I realized it wasn’t what I was led to believe. Was able to return to my old firm. The return was “a favor”. But includes conditions. I am not happy, and need a change and honestly more money now rather than in 6-8 months. I knew it would be ruff when I went back but I didn’t expect it to be this ruff. Is my recent history gonna be a huge hurdle to even get an interview?

I had applied for TAM in Google Cloud and got interviewed for the same. However, I do see the position now open in my preferred location as well. Should I apply for that location or if I clear my set of interviews then can I ask the recruiter to get me matched to my preferred location? How does this kind of situation work usually? Would really appreciate if someone can shed some light for navigating this scenario.

Hello Folks, I have completed my Technical and Managerial rounds last week and got the confirmation from consultancy that I have cleared the interviews and will schedule a call with HR as per availability.

How do RSUs in a PE owned firm work? I’m in early stage interview with such a firm and RSUs are part of the comp. I assume I would need the PE firm to sell or IPO the company in order to realise value from the RSUs. Is that right?

I Received a first offer from Deloitte 2 weeks ago that I countered and they accepted to raise it.
The recruiter in charge of my case was on holidays and he came back to work last week.
Sent him two emails asking when I should expect the new set of documents, but no reply until today.
Is this normal? Does a new offer necessarily have to go through the same steps as the first one ? Because I waited 10 days between the verbal offer and the written one for the first time.

Coming from a family of immigrants and being one yourself, does anyone ever feel a sense of guilt with your success/salary versus your family members? If so, how have you dealt with this? Any suggestions on how to deal with it internally and emotionally?

I’m not sure if I’m overthinking this but I (25M) have a feeling a friend(23F) is hitting on me. Whenever we hang out she’ll get really close and keep touching/poking me whenever we need to turn corners, cross the block, etc because she’s the navigator. When we sit next to each other on the bench she’ll be up on my personal space up. Just a lot of shoulder to shoulder touching. I had other female friends this touchy as well but I wouldn’t think anything of it because some people are touchier 1/2
