If you an intense work schedule ( and you probably ) do, don't get one. No point having a dog locked up at home all day without any time and attention. It's like having a child.
You should be locked up.
@A2 Sorry. Forgot to mention that dog is part of my dreams at having the life of a real human being.. it dies every Monday morning..
PS: Not even sure that's a word but y'all get the point.
I'm still dreaming. Dog sitters are as expensive as childcare
I've got one. Costs approx $1k a month for a good boarding place while I travel.
Holy hell that is so expensive hahah
I just got one, but thankfully my SO is there. If you have family nearby then that can make a difference. Otherwise now that I'm in the situation I realize how selfish it would be for me to have one if it was just me.
I've got my dog 3 years before I started in consulting. He doesn't stay at home, he goes to the best day care in my area and plays with other dogs all day. Saying it's selfish to have a dog is really myopic.
Yeah @P1 that's what I figure. It would be so selfish and so expensive. Ugh damn 😫
I have an adorable 2yr old pup and second EY1; cost roughly $200-$250 per week for daycare and boarding but it's still worth it to come back home to a pet that's always excited to see you!!! 🐶
I got one. Left for work one week. Came home to a body. Yay consulting!
The most crushing part is when he sees my suitcase Monday morning and won't come out of his crate. Seriously, crushing.
