Hello tax / estate accountants! My grandmother passed away a few years ago. The lawyers handling the estate have proposed a premature distribution of 75% of the estate to be paid out in the next few months. I believe the distribution will consist of securities from an actively managed Wells Fargo account.

Once I receive my distribution, if I want to cash out the securities, how will I be taxed on the gains?

Is anyone here familiar with RSUs and stock options as part of divorce? My arbitrator was not and she asked us to hire an expert to get a valuation. She’s convinced I cannot take my portion in kind if we could not settle on the value and I don’t want to be forced to sell my half to Husband at whatever valuation expert provides today (RSUs and stock options are under Husband’s name). If they low ball I rather take the risk and take them in kind. Any advice would be helpful.

My Obgyn is offering weekly classes that range from “childbirth” to “infant cpr” and mom/dad “meet and greets”. Outside of the cpr one which seems important, did anyone attend classes and find them useful? Or did not attend classes and wish they had? The recommended curriculum is about 20-30 hours in total over 2-3 months which is a time commitment. Thank you!

Wow I am so tired. I’m 12, almost 13 weeks and the fatigue has just hit me like a ton of bricks these past few weeks. It’s making it hard to focus or put in effort with work. Normally, this behavior would bother me… but I kind of don’t care? Anyone else relate?

I’m at 11 weeks but stopped having nausea, fatigue, and sore breasts. I don’t feel pregnant at all and that wasn’t the case a few days ago. I know it could be normal but I can’t help but assume the worst. Did anyone feel the same way? Is it normal to feel “normal” this early?

Just Venting : So , I am 5W4D pregnant from our fifth FET. Started spotting like light brown since yesterday and also been cramping back pain and lower abdomen. I am also feeling wet down there looks like more discharge. Called my RE and he asked me to rest with my legs elevated. I am worried now though doctor assured it’s all okay unless I am bleeding .

Has anyone had trouble finding an ob gyn? I just moved to my area and the recommended ob gyns are fully booked. The first date I can schedule is not until I'm 20+ weeks along. Would you just go to a lower rated ob (taking 2 out of 5 stars on Yelp) the first few weeks and then switch when you are able?

Anyone feel avoidant about certain foods? About 6 weeks or so, no nausea or sickness but certain smells I can’t stand (i.e. eggs, steak). I’ve found myself nervous to cook the salmon we just bought because I don’t want to hate the smell and end up wasting it 😭

Hello! I’m only about 4 weeks pregnant, so super early. I am about to go on vacation and thankfully did a quick search on some “dos and donts” for the first trimester. I am v disappointed to see I shouldn’t do saunas and hot tubs as my vacation was really planned to be all relaxation. But it got me thinking, could you all share the most surprising pregnancy do or don’t you’ve encountered? I feel like I just need a master list cause there seem to be so many limitations 😭
