Is PwC the best paid B4?
Working as Consultant at Cognizant Business Consulting now, I am being offered a role of Senior Business Analyst as a contractor for 1yr, initially for 6 months in Deloitte IN. I am a bit skeptical with this Contractor thing. Can someone guide me please? They say I don't have prior Big 4 consulting experience and hence this role.
Debate: who is the B1 of the B4?? 🤔 I have respect for all as I work with them all but would love to hear opinions
How important is it to get your CPA in the long run/ outside of big 4? Would CFE be beneficial? I’m a forensics staff.
If I was going to make a transition to another firm (possibly Tier 2 or Big 4), when would be an appropriate time to do so? I have about 9 months of experience with IBM thus far. Wait 2 years? Less?
IMPORTANT: If the Big 4 becomes the Big 5, the new addition will need a 5 letter acronym: D, EY, PWC, KPMG, _ _ _ _ _
Just started at another B4, is it too soon to mention to the recruiter I know someone else who’s interested in coming over?
Anyone here works for IRS Seattle office? Looking to get out of B4. Currently a manager in investment tax. CPA, no law degree. Would like to get a general idea of how to approach the application process. Nothing seems to be open currently.
Partners in BIG 4: How is your leadership reacting to location changes requested by partners? My firm is struggling to keep the people back in major cities as partners wants to move to sunny areas with no taxes. I can see both sides of the argument but trying to figure where we are likely to land.
What firms are doing really cool / innovative stuff in the area of Organization Design / Operating Model? (Not B4 / ACN / MBB)
Attempting to lateral between Big 4's to switch practice lines. Not sure how to explain why I don't just stay at my current firm and work with the group that does the type of work I'd like to do - truth is I briefly worked with them and loved the work but couldn't stand working with the team members at all. Is a sufficiently explained 'not a cultural fit' adequate here? Will they even care? I also doubt my practice line would approve the transfer since we're understaffed.
What is the scope of legal managed services provided by Big 4? What is the future of this practice? Asking for a friend.
I've just been offered a job at a big 4. I've been sent an email for background verification with a link to internal job portal. I've been asked to fill out a form that includes past employers. TBC
Anyone go from audit at B4 to a non-audit role at a young, growing company and can offer some advice on finding roles/selling yourself for the position?
Working as an audit staff in big 4 shared service centre. It's been 2 years. I really don't like what I do there, also it seems I won't like what I'll be doing there even after becoming senior. Thinking of leaving and joining industry once ACCA qualified. (One more paper left). But people around me discourage that growth potential and earnings in industry are way less compared to public accounting. I know that too but I still want to leave. I'd like to stick to core accounting. Thoughts pls
Anyone move from Big 4 to Grant Thornton? Any major differences? Thinking about switching.
What’s the starting salary for transaction services analyst in the for big 4? (Chicago area)
Considering leaving MBB to join a FMCG. Corporate consulting role. Would be leaving at Manager level with Mba. What sort of compensation should I be expecting?
Do companies really look at which badges/super badges/ projects you’ve earned on trailhead while making hiring decisions ? How important are these apart from certifications and past experience?
Has anyone heard of people being negatively impacted if their team think they might be leaving? I’m interviewing elsewhere and haven’t told anyone at the firm, but I feel like my managers can feel me pulling away. I’m trying to stay focused on my team while I’m still here but I just don’t care about audit anymore.
WFH today and answered a conference call while taking a shit. Accidentally had the video on.
sitting on an offer from chiat\day LA right now, decent salary for a mid level designer, but i know i can make a lot more being brand side at a tech company, talking to a few rn. i’m wondering if i should do it for the experience and networking? how’s chiat\day lately? ive been freelancing and was hoping a senior title will make me give up that lifestyle. eventually i want to work on sets and do more things in entertainment honestly
Any babe willing to chat or refer me to MBB, Big4 for strategy consulting? I'm trying to take off my career but cant do without MBA. Got 2YOE in strategy, 2YOE tech cons. & On-going Tech + Strategy
How difficult is obtaining an AWS cloud practitioner cert if you’re not particularly technical?
Anyone know of any openings for a SC in commercial SI PMFT? Trying to switch from federal and staffit is zero help (surprise).
I’m seeing so many graduates from the U.K. advertising schools with LinkedIn resumes full of 1-2 years of ‘Creative Placements’ at the big agencies. Is it really normal to intern for that long?
Recruiter for AB reached out for strategy team — any 🐠 know anything about culture, benefits, etc.?
Saving cord blood stem cells… we did not do this with our first and I am somewhat regretting it (no sicknesses or anything just to have in case). I’m pregnant with our second (and it was a long journey to get here) and considering banking the cord blood. I do have an auto-immune disease myself for reference. I’d love feedback, for those that have, do you feel it was worth it?
For those that joined consulting post-MBA, do you wish you had started earlier or do you feel it was the right time? 2 years in and wondering if I should commit to another 3 years for B-school...
I’d be curious to hear about people’s chargeable/billable hours. What are your goals vs actual, best/worst years, etc. I’ve only ever worked at one regional firm so my knowledge is fairly narrow.
Was hired into a company at a level that was more junior than my skills (Was out of work due to pandemic for a year). I’ve been at the company 5 months. We’re going through a reorg and my new position will really be leveraging my years of experience more so than other role. Is it appropriate to discuss a raise/adding senior to title? Or should I do the job and then prove myself then talk about raise. I have more experience than the senior members of my team.
Question: first time flying American Airlines...is carry on the same size as Delta flights and a book bag a personal item?
@Slalom 🐟 what's the entry level salary in S&O? What about one level up? (Associate? Senior? Idk what you call it)
I know it's early to even mention this, but has anyone starting preparing lessons for the fall? I want to create a remote learning webquest (how to use remote learning tools) so that students are prepared for anything.
