I just got staffed as S Associate on R2R (GL) track. I have exposure to GL from a high level but I’m not an accountant where as the module lead is a CPA. I don’t have a strong accounting background, which I think will make it difficult for me. Any experience is good experience, but I want to position myself for growth and to be promoted to manager you have to be able to lead a module. I don’t know if I will be able to lead GL but with some more experience in PPM I think I can lead. What do I do?

Does anyone have a lead on / advice on finding PM positions over $220k/yr? It seems like most positions I’m targeting are closer to $150k and I’m currently at $190+. I’m not sure I qualify for big tech Director level (would be open to and great for startup Director Level)…it seems I’m a great fit for many Sales Ops / GTM PM roles but most I’m finding promote the ~$200k+ people internally and the job reqs are ~IC 4/5. AD here from Thailand with 6 years of experience and won some local and international awards. Came here to Canada last year and i'm being offered a junior AD role because of the lack of my Canadian experience with $50k salary. Is this the norm here?

Getting pretty tired of seeing the back-patting self promo from agencies about their “Paid Internships” - as if unpaid internships haven’t been illegal for many years. Are they saying they just started doing this? Are they celebrating the meeting of bare minimum employment standards? I don’t understand this trend.
