Get fit at a local running shop!!
there is no one answer - varies for everyone based on foot shape, width, arch, gait, pronation, strike, mileage, etc
I also recommend Potomac River Running - really liked my experience there
Really like the quality of Brooks for the price
Go to a running shop. I’ve always loved brooks ghost. Takes lots of miles and keeps my joints feeling good.

Agree that the correct answer is “whatever you fit for at your local running shoe store”.
Once you are confident you have the right shoe, you may consider buying several pair at the end of the season. Brooks are notorious for going on sale for half-ish off around late January. I typically buy my year’s worth of shoes all at once once they go on sale.
Entirely dependent on your feet and how you run. Hoka, Saucony, and Newton make good shoes.
ASICS
I feel like Nike and adidas are fashionable but have zero function compared to Hokas, Salomons and Saucony.
Indeed, do a fit at your local running store.
Also have a look at on running, experience changers. They do last less long than the other brands though.
