Any suggestions for neighborhoods/streets/displays of holiday decorations and lighting? Back in LA there were neighborhoods known to have the best decorations and we’d do a drive through it. Anything like that here?

Just had a very uncomfortable conversation with a partner. I have some time off booked to go to my brother’s wedding (I’m the best man). We were chatting and I mentioned that my brother’s future husband is so nice and really a great guy, and we already consider him a member of our family. Partner’s tone immediately shifts and as we’re ending the call he says, “Okay, enjoy the time with your family at the civil ceremony.” Like… girl you live in California, you cannot be this backward.

Need some advice. I just accepted a new position that starts later this summer at the beginning of July. Earlier this year I was approved for 2 weeks PTO at the end of June/early July (getting married). Where I'm at now they do not have unlimited PTO, so there is nothing they owe me when I leave. What would be the best way to handle putting in my 2 weeks notice if I want to try and still get paid my PTO before I leave?

i applied for a snr consultant role in consulting (strategy & ops, indus. redesign & innov.) and saw my app. got shortlisted. this role looks more suited for me and im super interested in it, more so than my prev. exp at D but you never know haha. whats the process like/how likely will i progress?

When is it either allowed or seen as OK to start using FTO? I recently started here and while I’m not looking to slack off and take time off, I just want to know how it works. I have a hand full of k-5 students who have gone the first half of the school year without music because of remote learning. Our district is moving to 100% traditional teaching after the MLK holiday. Any suggestions for reintroducing concepts to the group of students that’ll be joining us f2f for music the first time this school year?
