A startup offered me stock options for my support. Now they want to start paying me part time and also offer me increased stake in the company. I am debating between asking for equity or more stock options. Need help in understanding which one to consider. For context, founder is open to both as they consider me as part of the founding team and long term plans for the company.

Thoughts on becoming a "Growth & New Initiatives PM"?

I was a regular PM managing my own vertical and now have the opportunity for a new role in the org. No promo or cash related, just jurisdiction wise.

I'd be focusing on:
For old product-
-Free Trial
-automation
For new product-
-Building out from scratch
-UI/UX related user feedback
-sales and marketing focus
-use cases and features

Is this a good move career wise? Love being a PM and looking to grow.
Prefer new product > old

Additional Posts in Women in Finance

Looking to move from financial services into consulting - mainly M&A or something similar (i.e. transformation consultant). I’m currently pursuing my master’s in finance and I’ve got 3 years of professional experience.

Would anyone be willing/able to refer me to any companies with finance-related consulting positions? Or any recs for companies I should gravitate toward?

I have referrals at PWC and KPMG but no interviews just yet. Thanks!

Women who have had kids while working - what was the situation when you were breast feeding? My office uses a supply closet as the “lactation room” and sometimes women would use an empty office at the end of the hall...feels a little cruel to me but maybe that’s how it is everywhere? FYI I don’t have kids yet but thinking about it and the lactation room situation just bothers me for some reason...

Just found out I get paid less than a male peer in my team, we started the job on the same day, same qualifications, same age, same title. I asked for a pay rise last year and we both got one, he wasn’t happy and asked for more and only he got one. I’m disappointed, angry and feel slighted

Has anyone else started their exit plan after less than 6 months on the job?

Im a few months into mine, and due to the lack of diversity on the team I’m already thinking about applying else where once I hit a year.

I’m being recruited back to a bank I left 6 months ago. Was contacted by a recruiter this week because I had indicated in my exit interview that I would consider a return to the firm in the future. When I left this bank for my current employer… I received a $30k bump. I’ve never been recruited before and am curious what questions I should ask? Is this a good sign? Would it be wrong to ask for an additional $25k to go back?
