Any suggestions on executive coaches who have experience with scaling startups?

I’m helping a non-profit (not related to Bain at all!), and they’re hoping to connect new founders in emerging markets to executive coaches with startup experience, on a monthly or quarterly basis.

I know good coaches are hard to come by and wanted to get the 🐠 scoop! Any recommended firms, organizations, etc? Should we be thinking about executive coaching in a different way?

No replies over three days should tell you something about the idea.

Do you think the biggest need of entrepreneurs in emerging markets is executive coaching?

Agree with you wholeheartedly. With all due respect, their biggest needs are covered. This is a gap that the founders themselves have identified - we’ve evaluated it to be a need worth addressing (or at least worth trying to).

Hi everyone. I have about 13 years of experience in Marketing but this is the first time that I work in the consulting industry. I'm a 3rd-year corporate transactional attorney with a private firm. Around 50 attorneys, which is as big as it gets for the state I'm in. I've become disillusioned with the partnership track career path fairly quickly and don't think it's for me. Before taking a large pivot and leaving the law entirety, I've thought about going in-house.

(1) Are there any downsides to going in-house too early?

(2) Would it make it more difficult to go back to private practice if I don't like that experience?

I’d to get a job in a small architecture firm or work for a developer to help build up my network. For the past 6 years I’ve taught high school architecture and engineering and done real estate on the side. I have an industrial design degree and tremendous construction and real estate sales knowledge. I also started architecture school but stupidly switched to industrial design. I don’t want to go back to school for architecture. Ultimately, I want to own my own company developing real estate.

Hi Fishes

I am applying for a BA role at Globallogic. Can anyone help with a referral?

Need new members!

We just found out we’re pregnant with twins! Definitely a shock, but we are excited. Anyone here have twins and/or willing to share tips? I’m only 9 weeks so still have a long ways to go. Thankfully my firm has a generous maternity leave policy. Obviously I have not broken the news to my firm yet; however, I’m already experiencing guilt for highly litigated matters that I’m on and know when my leave would start is a few months out from trial - anyone else feel this work guilt?

I feel like I've been living under a rock for ~5 yrs. I was happy and blowing off money with the thinking that I'll start saving once I start earning more.

Just realised that could've started early. I'm in mid 20s and thinking about investment. Tried watching YouTube videos. But I have pretty basic questions :
1. Where do I even start?
2. What %age of income should I invest?

I hope I'm not late.
