Any suggestions on fields and jobs to apply to as a transitioning teacher? I was thinking about getting my Scrum Master certification but open to learn of other certifications or fields that I should be looking at as a transitioning teacher. All feedback is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

I used to be an instructional designer and many of my colleagues were former teachers. A lot of it involves technical writing/documentation and creating e-learning courses. But some lean more into the corporate instruction side of it, which usually involves teaching employees at larger companies how to use software programs etc. If you’re tech savvy, it’s a fairly decent job that pays well. I haven’t worked in that field for over a decade, so I’m sure there have been many changes. But I still have recruiters hit me up regularly for that type of work, so there must be a decent demand.

What do you mean by ‘transitioning’?

I’d look into education tech (scrum master), educational design, educational sales (class room furniture is fun).

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.

Don’t get me wrong there is some stuff i like, but generally it’s just garbage. It’s just a bunch of repeating tropes, and twang. Can’t decide if I feel this way because I’ve changed, it has gotten worse, I now associate it with Trumpism, or it’s really always been this bad.

Is a 40 hour work week not a reality in consulting? Is there specific bad and good experiences people can share so that I may make an informed decision before pivoting careers?
