CNBC Pro is a news sight and not an investment site. Seeking Alpha has lots of crowd sourced investment ideas. Some of the analysis is garbage, but you can get multiple views on the same stock. You should also do your own analysis if you’re able. Index funds are the easy button and can work well. But I think individuals who but in the work can manage their own money as well. To each their own.

I agree that index funds provide decent returns with less risk but some of the stocks like Apple, Microsoft , Amazon, Netflix etc beat the etfs by a large margin. I invested in several ETFs such as VOO, VHT, VGT but also want to invest some percentage in some individual stocks after thorough research at the right time. Hence looking for the guidance and recommendations.

Invest in your domain of expertise. Big fan of index funds, but also invest a little directly into companies that I know are good, have some kind of advantage.

Just put in Faang or tech index. Rest of stocks can return higher but risk is also high. Tech is recession proof. Except tech every other industry depends on feds buying stocks.

Forbes has a new ai stock screening newsletter I’m subscribed to that’s free. I’m also a motley fool but I don’t necessarily think it’s worth the money unless you follow them like the Bible which I don’t but I find their picks and analysis insightful. Once you develop more of a trading strategy and investment plan and understand how to analyze stocks to execute your plan then I recommend simplywallst for reading in-depth analysis on stocks and screening stocks.

The US bowls seem to be reporting large retention bonuses, so was wondering if UK is similar

Currently working at Accenture as a C (promoted Dec ‘19), but I know I ultimately want to make the jump over to Deloitte. I am on track to be promoted to M in the 2021 promo cycle and I know Deloitte would likely knock me down one level either way. Due to COVID-19, it seems like it doesn’t make sense to jump ship for at least another year while things get back to normal. Any thoughts on if it’s better to wait it out and leave after making M (but how long after?) or try to leave earlier? TIA

Curious, are attorneys taking cases to sue hospitals and staff that the family members claim have ‘wrongly’ intubated unvaccinated COVID patients? As in they should not have been intubated? Saw a FB page where a woman is blaming the hospital staff that his husband should not have been intubated and says she has been contacted by many attorneys to sue the hospital.

My principal approached me in the car pick up line on Friday to inform me that I’ve taken to many days off & school has just started. I took 1day off when my daughter tested positive for Covid, I had an doctor’s appt that had been scheduled 6 months ago to see the hematologist. Being that I’m anemic, current labs showed I need to have 2 iron infusions. I put in for 2 more days off to have that done. He told me in the future to wait until a work day! We done have any until December!!

Hi all, I wondering what I should do i was planning on taking an advance Accounting course in January 2021. Part of my company benefits is tuition reimbursement. I got an email back from my manager that was clearly drafted by the Director. The email basically stated that they were concerned that I was over working myself and the course would not be reimbursed at this time maybe in April that would be after they reevaluate the situation. My question here is should I be concerned I’m a target.

Hey all - I got an awesome new job Accenture in the applied intelligence practice as a consultant. I am also doing my MBA part time at a T15 school. The MBA exit salary is on average 150k for consultants in my program. I was hoping that when I finish my MBA, I would be able to ask for a raise to match my salary to what those MBA folks normally get. Is there a way for me to request that in ACN? If so, how open are leadership to that conversation?
