I hate mentality of people towards taxes.
First, everyone pays taxes.
Second, paying income tax should be considered pride. We are paying because we are earning well enough. And we are paying only as per our slabs, not randomly.

I’m working with a hedge fund in Dallas to stand up a graphics department. Specifically they are looking for a team to support the front office by making their PowerPoint presentations look good (I.e. I might send them an excel sheet with some data and a sketch of a chart and they would produce the output). Has anyone ever heard of this? Does anyone know of a company we could outsource to?

I’m annoyed. I work directly with executives in a variety of capacities and regularly have to push back on them when they step outside of our normal practices on the people side. When that happens, I usually let my boss know on the side so they are informed and am often told “you’re doing the right thing, handling this well.” However, if the fight is brought directly to my boss on the same issue, they more often than not cave and support the exec. Am I out of line being angry about this? WWYD?
