She has been literally carrying every department she has been promoted to with the highest reviews. She’s yet to break the ceiling even with a BA in Healthcare Admin.. What does being terminated as an associate look like during WFH? Our office is having a serious drop in billable hours. If one of us was terminated, how awkward is it to get things from the office?

Generally curious how many companies offer phone reimbursement? My last gig did not but the current one does. Legally it seems, all employers are required to do so if we use our phone in literally any capacity (video call, slack, teams, emails etc). How prevalent is the issue of not reimbursing phone dues?

My wife wants to have kids and I’m absolutely and utterly terrified of the thought. I’ve always thought I wanted kids but watching my friends and family around my age absolutely getting crushed trying to take care of them has given me pause. Non-accounting rant…Our lease is up at the end of April and we recently got our new lease contract. All of a sudden, the leasing company is requiring renter’s insurance. It’s apparently a new requirement for all new and current residents. It’s definitely a good thing to have, but isn’t there some sort of requirement for landlords to communicate big changes to leases in advance and not just stick it on the lease and hope everyone reads it? It seems kinda predatory and sneaky.

I have a query with regards to HRA deduction that we can claim as non taxable.

So in my offer letter, it is written that max 50% of basic salary can be used for house rent.

My basic salary is 7,00,000. So how much deduction can I show for HRA, considering the The Income Tax Act Section 10-13A?

I want to reduce the tax as much as possible through HRA, but I believe there is a limit upto which deductions will be considered.
