Have a home builder in Delaware refusing to return a client buyer’s deposit money. The sale fell through because when the client showed up for the final walk-through, the house was unfinished and my clients walked away. At a later point, the builder negotiated without his counsel for rescission then the builder reneged on the rescission agreement, he stated he would not return the down $$ but instead wanted to see if he could sell their home and

What's a feasible % increase for promotions? Looking to be promoted to Sr. Account Manager, and based on my current salary (57k in midwest) and Glassdoor/competitor medians for Sr. Account Manager, a fair salary would be around 22-25% increase (70-72k). Will I need to leave to get that or is that normal for a promotion (not a raise)?

I am a 35 year old single Indian-American dude based in Tokyo. Am debating a move to NYC. It’s been tough here to make and sustain friendships and relationships in the last few years with covid and all. I think I just need a change. I see a lot of posts about how hard it is to make friends in your mid-30s. And then there’s a lot of subtle racism when it comes to dating too? Is it really that bad in NYC? Any insights and perspectives would be great!

Hello,
I’m a junior data scientist and in my current job I mostly code using Pyspark (no machine learning) so I would like to work on a side project that could leverage my profile and data science/ML skills. What project would you advice me to work on ? (it can be a kaggle project, or a classic task that you do at your job, or a paper that you read).
I’m overwhelmed by the many suggestions online and would prefer to get a suggestion directly from professionals.
PS : I’m not a beginner.

I have a tricky timing for switching jobs.

Current company:
- Quarterly RSU vesting 1st March
- Bonus scheduled for April payment.
- Notice period is 1 month

Option 1. Leave on March 2nd after vesting and stay an extra month (2 months total). Start new role right after. No bonus

Option 2. Leave Feb 7th (1 months notice), start new job right after and ask new employer to cover the bonus and RSUs if they want me earlier

Option 3. Ignore the money and just leave after notice.

Thoughts?

What are your thoughts about having to take an iq/personality assessment tests? It seems so outdated to me. I don’t think it predicts how you will truly perform at a job. I took a test like this for a startup once and they were concerned about my ability to speak up or behave in social settings. This was completely false. I present, interview clients, demo products, and facilitate meetings for a living. So what if I go home and shut down after work? I’m exhausted from speaking all day!
