I work opposite that group a lot (I’m sponsor side). My understanding is that they work a lot, but the work quality is great and I think you get substantive work early on. They are a very busy bunch
Some of the best lawyers I’ve ever worked with are there. You will be speaking with clients and running deals on your own very quickly (which I found to be really valuable). There is a significant amount of weekend work and if you start getting into the commitment letters rotation, your weekends will be nonexistent relatively often. The hours can be brutal and intense. That said, if you set boundaries, I think you can survive with ease and have the benefit of working with great people.
