Any thoughts on going into client advisory services? I’ve been thinking about leaving my tax manager role to go to industry but I like the client aspect of my job. Thinking of maybe trying out CAS and then using that to get to industry if I want out in a few years.

Applied here and interviewed (presumably to the final round) and didn’t end up with an offer, I think due to the specific experience I’ve had so far. I want to definitely try again in the future when I get more experience. Is there a specific grace period that is ideal? Would this look bad if I apply again since I’ve been rejected before?

I received a message on LinkedIn from an internal recruiter at a company that sounded intriguing. Would it be bad form to ask for more information about the role and about comp up front? I wasn’t looking to leave my firm until later next year at the earliest, but the company sounds really interesting. Don’t want to waste a lot of time if the comp isn’t right, though.
