Bf is an analyst at a hedgefund in NYC with 4 years experience, he’s looking for an exit opp to another fund. Can provide more details offline, if anyone has any leads shoot me a message, thanks :)

Google and Microsoft (or other FAANG), do you have to be based at an office or do they allow fully remote work for some new employees? Trying to find a marketing role, but living several hours from the closest offices for any big tech and COL is great where I am.
Has anyone had their LCA location updated so they can work from a different remote work location than their home office city? Did your firm take care of the process for you?
I work in insurance defense and we are getting slammed as far as workload and have been for some time. It’s nice because I haven’t had to beg for billable work and always hit my goals. My question is whether this has been the norm at other insurance defense firms. My other question is how other states are dealing with COVID restrictions on jury trials. Has anyone tried anything during the pandemic?
Considering a move from Delivery side of consulting to the Sales side (i.e. selling work, RFPs, opportunity/deal conversion). Been in delivery for over 20 years and feel I need a change. I get to "test drive" the role and do it for a year. Any one been on the Sales side and Delivery side for a time and have an opinion and why they like one over the other? Thanks!
What are the typical questions being asked in an interview? Also do you have a favorite question you ask them?
Booked international flight with points on AA. I’m platinum status. Would love to get upgraded. I have tons of 500 mile upgrades. Would calling help? Is it possible to get upgraded on an int’l flight?
I need advice on a late in life career pivot. I am spoiled - well-paid, but will never receive a raise above 1% or a decent bonus (I've hit the ceiling). My new boss is horrible, and 1/2 of the team left in the first year of her tenure. Staying is my last resort. My limitations: I need a high-level legal job (Assistant GC) in the LA area. I specialize in intellectual property law and global procurement. Do I hire someone to help with the search? The job boards have limited opportunties for me.
Anyone have insight/experience in HIG, specifically relating to healthcare tech consulting? What type of work do you do? How’s salary for senior assoc level? Potential bonus vs actual? Any help is appreciated.
Got reached out to by a recruiter at McMaster-Carr. Looks concerning from online reviews, but comp package appears to be amazing. Is the horrible culture just for management trainee program? I would not be going into that. How are other groups around the company? Also interested in hear total comp for folks with ~1 year experience if possible. Thanks!
How can I check salaries of people in my office or market? The H1B data is not good enough.
Entire square block around my Hilton in Seattle lost power an hour ago with no sign of what the problem is or a solution. Of course this would happen when I'm farthest from exits on the highest floor.
NDA’s are bullshit. I get if you’ve got work that’s confidential etc etc. (but how many of us are designing the new laser beam eye implants for iPhone?) But mostly they are just used to force people not to talk shit about things they absolutely should be talking shit about. Think how successfully they’ve been used over the years to silence women who were paid off after suffering abuse. Or you’re forced to sign them to get severance packages. It’s just one more myriad of ways workers get F’d.
Best exit for experienced Healthcare FDD manager? Ideally looking to maximize WLB, while maintaining relatively competitive compensation.
2.5 YOE in tech Corp Dev for 120K. People say that MBAs aren’t valued in tech, but a lot of my team have them, and about half are from M7. Is it worth getting an MBA, even when in tech?
Is Accenture so cheap that when you book a hotel through CWT they purposefully don’t include the breakfast so you have to spend per diem on continental breakfast?
Interviewed for an industry role last week. Interviews went great. Got an email from the hiring manager, asked to set up 15 min to connect later this week. Would have expected either an offer or a 'no thanks' would've come from recruiting/hr. Anyone else had a hiring manager reach out first after an interview?
