BIPOC who started working in healthcare advertising and eventually were able to leave, how’d you do it? My spec book gets me interviews for junior and mid copywriter positions, but when they ask me what kind of work I’m doing at my current agency, the whole conversation goes south. They either become immediately disinterested, or beam up and suddenly the interview is only about an open pharma role, which is more frustrating because if I want to stay in health I’d go for copy supervisor roles.
Does anyone know the compensation for KPMG’s Associate, Deal Advisory and Strategy position?
Folks with great benefits - which do you value most as a queer person? Folks with crappy benefits - what do you wish your company provided?
Need investment help. New big law attorney with $200k salary, paying NYC taxes. Currently in Texas with my family paying no rent. Will move to NYC in July. No student loan payments until September. What the hell should I do with all my money? Going to max 401k, HSA, and back door Roth... what else?
Alright, I confess: I’m just starting my second year as a manager (first in a new office I transferred to last November), and I’m feeling more and more exposed to the point where I know that others (staff, seniors, partners, and the client) know that I don’t know shit. Feels like I’m caught off guard in conversations on a routine basis. How has everyone else been able to get more comfortable with being uncomfortable when it comes to dealing with new accounting issues for a new client?
🐠's need Advise. I am tempted to move to another big 4 for better pay. Considering speaking to PPED regarding my compensation before making a decision. As a senior 2 earning 89K. Is that standard?
I see plenty of people go for a walk during the day, yet I hardly see any of my teammates appear “away” for 15/20+ minutes. I recognize that not everyone is in consulting, but can’t imagine that *none* of those walking are. Asking as a relative newcomer to the workforce: Is it acceptable to be away from work for more than just a few minutes, regardless of industry? If so, how can I feel comfortable stepping away to prioritize my health and well-being when so few of my teammates do so?
I’ve been feeling very anxious about the challenges of being a working professional and mom at the same time in the future. All I hear is how hard it is, how everyone underestimated postpartum recovery, and double duty around the house, while trying to pump and work and balance schedules etc etc. I’m graduating from my MBA around the same time I would like to start having kids (around age 30) so the idea of re-entering the workforce as a new mom is TERRIFYING. I think I need to hear (cont)
How did you manage gmat w/ >14 hrs of client work + practice dev (internal firm)? How long did it take you to get that >90 percentile? Any tips on studying for gmat consistently?
Flying into ORD tomorrow night. Weather looks good, but it’s still ORD. Should I be worried about delays?
Hey everyone! I’m having a bit of trouble and I wanted to know if I can get some guidance. I have been on the same project for four years now and I’m doing great job. I’ve gone up in the ranks and now I am the clients right hand person. However in talking with my people manager, he wants to discuss where I plan on going in my career. And honestly, I haven’t really thought about it. I have always been raised to just do my job and go home. And honestly I’m fine with that. But when it comes to 1/2
Hi, all! I am currently in the process of switching firms. I’m at another big 4 in financial services. My new role has sent out a survey for market team preference between Financial Services and Products & Services (tech, media, telecommunications, consumer markets, etc). In terms of work and exit ops, which would you choose and why? Thank you!
Anyone knows what's the equivalent of the capital markets function of Accenture in the big 4? Would it be S&o for Deloitte? How about the rest?
Let's say I'm looking at an industry or otherwise non-traveling role. Is it fair to consider travel benefits (meals/per diem, miles, alt travel) as part of total compensation?
