My coach/senior manager left D&T a few years ago to go to Siegfried. Shes been much happier and never looked back (and has been trying to recruit me ever since 🤣). I know a few others who have gone there as well, and recently reconnected with someone on their leadership team who has been there for 7 years. I met her on her first project with the company while I was interning on the same team. It can be a good career itself, however they will tell you it can also just be a great stepping stone for people leaving audit who don't know what they want to do, as you get to try out different roles and companies and see what is a good fit. Those who are leaving after 2-3 years, I dont think its because they are unhappy at Siegfried, I think its because their time there helped them find their calling after PA
I’ve been with Siegfried for about 7 months and so far my experience has been pretty great. Prior to that I was with KPMG for over 9 years. To get to manager you’d need CPA or CA qualification. I’d disagree with the other comment, it’s not always backfill roles, although I’m sure some are. I’ve been on a client now for 5-6 months and it’s been an amazing opportunity. The type of roles and opportunities that you get depend on your experience and level. The more senior you are, the more senior level opportunities you’ll get.
^^ I’d have to disagree. My friends love it - they say it’s like taking the big 4 model and getting rid of the bad stuff. They do want you to have CPA and audit experience
Idk about the CPA question but I’ve heard bad things- you report to client management as basically a loan staff so the “exciting projects” you’re working on are really day-to-day backfill for the client who is working on the actual exciting project. Most ppl who go there from Big 4 quit within a year or 2 if that tells you anything

I’m sure it depends on what projects you’re assigned to. My comment was based on research I did when I was considering an interview with them. Glad to hear other people have had good experiences!
