Omega all day, but hefty discount available on both
Where and how?

Breitling is actively trying to be flashy and have their watches noticed on the wrist (hence their massive size and copious amounts of polish).
Omega is trying to gain market share with technology and design elements, but are forced to actively differentiate themselves from Rolex (which introduces unnecessary complexity in their design; eg wave dial, He crown, and 9-piece bracelet)
Rolex found the formula fifty years ago and only incrementally tweaks things to introduce updates or modernize.
Tudor benefits from tickle-down technology from big brother Rolex, but have placed a big bet on heritage (and faux Lume).

IWC road the ETA wave for way too long and are just now realized the tide has shifted.
Grand Seiko polishes better than anyone in the world, but can’t seem to understand that people don’t want a 15mm tall dress watch.
I can keep going if you’d like. :) Basically pick what makes you happy, or pick what holds its value.
With SVP1 on that. I think Breitlings are nicer than watch nerds give them credit for, but because theyre out of favor heavy discounts can be had.
Personally, omega any day. Both the seamaster and speedmaster are excellent watches and hold value better then Breitling.
You should go for what makes you happier. If you go for Breitling, I’d recommend going for certified pre-owned.
Love the breitling. Especially if you find one of the older ones that had the green bezel.
I regret not having bought it myself
I like Breitling alot (I own the Galactic 41) but noticed that the Superocean Heritage looked massive on my wrist. I feel like the Breitling is much more unique though.

I think Omega has an advantage on the movement technology
I've got the Breitling and the band is one of the most comfortable of any I've worn
The breitling is beautiful but gets old fast IMO
The seamaster, on the other hand, only becomes better with time for me
Plus, I am not a big fan of the lug design on the SO (makes it too big), whereas the smp lugs fit it very well
Rising Star
They're two fairly different pieces and wear very different.
The SuperOcean wears HUGE and the mesh bracelet feels cheap.
The Omega is a much better sized watch on the wrist (for me) and bracelet feels solid and well made.
Regardless, both are overpriced for what you get so shop around for discounts.
